Diablo 4 is going to be the darkest entry in the franchise and will similar to Diablo 2, a new leak says.
It seems that thanks to Reddit and twitter the first details for the next major entry in the Diablo franchise have been leaked online and they all say that Diablo IV will have a darker and grittier tone than ever before and will be similar to the style of Diablo 2 as well as featuring a 4-player co-op mode.
The origin and the first source of this leak comes from two of Redditors with usernames of PracticalBrush12 and ZhugeEX. Both of these Redditors were very reliable sources before and in terms of gaming leaks they are among the best sources in the industry, however, it is also worth mentioning that none of the information and details that have been leaked by these two sources aren’t 100 percent legit and there is a small chance that some of these won’t be totally true. Anyhow, PracticalBrush12 and ZhugeEX claim that they have reliable information about the tone of Diablo 4 and according to them, the next installment in the Diablo franchise is going to look dark, gritty and gross, just like the fans want. They went on saying that almost all locations in Diablo IV will be toned down and have tons of corpses laying around the corners, they also mentioned a few wastelands with grey-ish deserts and clut caves that feature a lot of flesh, rotten crypts, marshes and bogs that are available in the game for players to explore. The leaks also say that in Diablo 4 players can look forward to plagued cities as well as lots of other creepy and dark environments that will be way bigger and larger than Diablo 3’s regenerated levels.
In addition to all the new stuff which has been rumored/leaked recently, it looks like there will also be a development update for Diablo Immortal during Blizzcon.
A look at the game, new maps, ultimate skills etc…

In terms of gameplay, new leaks mention features like riding horses ( and possibly other mounts ) so it seems that in Diablo 4, players can use horses in order to navigate in the levels and moving around in the map is much faster than other titles in the Diablo series. Furthermore, sources claim that there is a good chance that Diablo 4 features contextual interaction with the game’s environment and because of that it is likely to see blood splatters that look more like blood and not splashed jam. It’s not really a Diablo game without its different and unique classes, so leaks cover this as well and according to them there will be a total of three classes: the first one is Mage which uses fire, ice, and lightning, the second class is the beloved Barbarian and it will use swords, clubs, axes, kicks and things like that, the last one is Druid class and players are able to use lightning, wind, and also transform into beasts.
These leaks don’t mention any PvP mode at launch but it seems there will be a 4 player coop mode present in the game and players can play both solo and with friends. Not too long ago, there was another leak that refered to the possibility of seeing Lilith, the Daughter of Hatred as one of the main characters in Diablo 4’s story ( you can read more about that here. ) However, as mentioned before, none of these details without the conformation from Blizzard Entertainment worth anything so we just have to wait and see if Blizzard is going to fully reveal Diablo IV later today at BlizzCon 2019 or something else happens. Stay tuned for more updates about the next installment in the Diablo franchise and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter.
