IO Interactive is celebrating one year of Hitman 2’s constant content updates with more updates.
Since Hitman 2‘s launch on 9 November 2018, IO Interactive, the developer of the long-running series has been providing non-stop updates and new content each month. We have already gone to places like a tropical paradise in the Maldives called Haven Island thanks to these downloadable contents and even had a spooky Halloween. Now as we enter the second year of Hitman 2 and to celebrate the first birthday of the game, IO Interactive has outlined the roadmap for all the goodies players will get access to during November.
Hitman 2’s November update will bring more content in a single month than the company has ever done before. During November, each week will have two content drops and some will even have four. These contents include 10 Featured Contracts, 8 Escalation Contracts, 6 Challenge Packs, 5 item unlocks, 2 suit unlocks and a Legacy Elusive Target. We’ll go through them down below but if you prefer a video, thankfully, IO Interactive has you covered.
Hitman 2’s new update will kick off on November 7 with two of the most popular Legacy Escalations including The Teague Temptation in Paris and The Bahadur Dexterity in Morocco. As you may already know each Escalation has five different stages so good luck doing them.
On the same day, The Breaking and Entering Challenge Pack will also be available to play. You can unlock a skin for your crowbar playing the challenge called ICA Titanium Crowbar. This challenge was previously known as The Great Heist but was changed later due to naming conflicts.
A week later, on November 14 four more updates will arrive. The first one is an Escalation Contract called The Montague Audacity. Then we’ll have the Special Occasions Featured Contracts and lastly, two Legacy Challenge Packs will drop. The two Legacy Challenge Packs are Master Fortune Teller in Morocco and Art of Revenge in Hokkaido, Japan and will get you two unlocks if you finish them.
On November 19 we’ll get two Legacy Escalation Contracts called The Arthin Occultation in Bangkok, Thailand and then The Szilassi Darkness in Sapienza, Italy. In addition to these, Blake’s Endeavour Challenge Pack will also be available and if you manage to finish it you will unlock the cool-looking Arkian Tuxedo and then you can use it in every other location. Two more Legacy Challenge Packs are scheduled to release on the same day as well. Plumber’s Apprentice and Master Sniper will get you the following new unlocks, Claw Hammer and the Jaeger 7 Covert sniper rifle.
On November 22, you will have another chance at playing one of Hitman 1’s Elusive Targets with the lowest success rate. The Fixer Legacy Elusive Target in Hitman 2 will allow you to have your revenge but you must progress with caution and make sure you read the briefing and the target intel before you proceed.
The McCallister Ransack Escalation Contract will drop on November 28 but there’s two more planned to release on the same day as well including The Quimby Quandry Escalation Contract and The Bartholomew Hornswoggle. The latter will get you the Buccaneer suit if you prove worthy.
In addition to all of these content drops, on November 19 an update will also be released which includes improvements, tweak, and fixes.
Generously enough, IO Interactive also assured fans that the next Hitman game is well underway but the content update for Hitman 2 will still continue for a while. It’s unclear if the previously announced collaboration between IO Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment was referring to the next Hitman game or a completely new title, or both. All we know so far is that future IO Interactive games might include multiplayer.
