During the latest earnings call by Electronic Arts, the company discussed more on its plans for the next year, including the release of five unannounced titles.
According to a bunch of tweets by Daniel Ahmad, covering EA’s most recent financial report, we get to know more about the company’s plans for next year. First of all, don’t expect the new iteration of Battlefield in 2020, as EA confirmed that it will be launched in the fiscal year 2022 which is sometime between April 2021 and March 2022.
While the company didn’t mention Star Wars: Battlefront 3 for next year, it did reveal that Apex Legends will be their main service shooter for 2020 with the game getting launched on more platforms and regions as well as having its own esports tournament. Regarding Respawn’s focus on 3 different titles right now, it seems we won’t see any sight of Titanfall 3 next year.
EA has set 5 unannounced titles to get released in 2020. While three of these titles are being made by internal studios, the other two games are from third-party developers and will be launched in the fiscal year 2021, which puts the release date somewhere between April 2020 and March 2021.
Following the details above, EA has also revealed that DICE, Motive, Maxis, Bioware, and Criterion all are currently working on new titles. There will also be new mobile games and a new addition to EA Sports’ titles, which could be Golf, Cricket or something new.
Finally, EA clarified that the new Dragon Age and Star Wars projects won’t be ready until late fiscal year 2022 or even later.
