It looks like BioWare is preparing to release more details about the upcoming Dragon Age 4.
November 3 marked the 10th birthday of the Dragon Age franchise and the release of Dragon Age: Origins and to celebrate it, BioWare is teasing a possible Dragon Age 4 related reveal for next month.
The news comes from the tweet on BioWare’s official account where they invite us to get back with them on December 4 “for Dragon 4ge Day”. In case you didn’t notice, they switched the “A” with “4” implying that we will most likely get more news about the next Dragon Age title possibly called Dragon Age 4 early next month.
Today marks 10 years of Dragon Age! This year we’re excited to join the community’s party on December 4th and celebrate a decade together in the world we all love. See you on 12/4 for Dragon 4ge Day!

Apparently, on December 4 there’s going to be a community party going on and BioWare wants to join them. The next Dragon Age was announced during the last year’s The Game Awards with a short teaser trailer. There was no name shown but the sequel was referred to as The Dread Wolf Rises which could be the working title or a major plot lead.
According to rumors, Dragon Age 4 had a troubled development and most of the team were shifted to work on BioWare’s other titles such as Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem earlier but it seems like the project is going well now. Just a while back, Electronic Arts said Dragon Age 4 is still in the works but it won’t release before March 31, 2022.
Following the release of the teaser trailer in The Game Awards 2018, Mark Darrah, the Executive Producer, and Matthew Goldman, the Creative Director took to BioWare’s official blog to assure fans about what to expect from the next Dragon Age title. According to them, BioWare has been working on the sequel “for quite a while now” and while Darrah has been busy with Anthem, the rest of the team “has been hard at work exploring ways to push BioWare’s storytelling to the next level”. As they continue, the core of Dragon Age veterans will be gathered to join the team on making “the most epic quest ever”.
Dragon Age: Origins was released in 2009 followed by the 2011 release of Dragon Age II. The third game, Dragon Age: Inquisition was released in 2014 and since then we haven’t had a main Dragon Age game.
